A survey by BBC in Iraq found that people there are generally optimistic about the future.
The issue of the initial invasion is not surprising. I would be dubious about a foreign invasion even if the situation here was similar to theirs. It's the old "New boss same as the old boss." kind of outlook.

The most interesting part of the survey is the opinion of local conditions compared to National perceptions. They feel the overall situation is a little better than before the innovation, but locally they say the situation is much improved.
