Who would you put your money on?
The Duchess and I just started Season One of '24.' So far, it's like porn for Republican hawks. I have doubts that Jack has ever heard of FISA. Fun stuff.
Oh! Probably everyone has seen this, but I'm still laughing. The Top 60 Facts about Jack Bauer (NOT G-rated.)
Here are a few:
- Lets get one thing straight, the only reason you are conscious right now is because Jack Bauer does not feel like carrying you.
- Every mathematical inequality officially ends with "< Jack Bauer".
- Jack Bauer's favorite color is severe terror alert red. His second favorite color is violet, but just because it sounds like violent.
- If Jack and MacGyver were locked in a room together, Jack would make a bomb out of MacGyver and get out.
One of these days, after I catch up on a few months' sleep, I'm going to do a Real Ultimate Power page for Jack. If I seem a little TOO taken with him, just remember Fact #41: "Your attraction to Jack Bauer in no way affects your sexual orientation."

My bet is still on Jack Bristow. Plus, Bristow is a hottie.
Posted by: TulipGirl at février 13, 2006 07:11 AMWe started watching 24 on DVD last year, I'm afraid we became hopeless addicts very quickly and even upped our Amazon subscription. We got through all 4 series before Christmas, I'm still having withdrawal symptoms.
Posted by: Sheena at février 13, 2006 10:29 AMMy favorite Bauerism was in a Detroit newspaper piece I've yet to be able to Google-here's how I remember it-
"Jack Bauer is played by Kiefer Sutherland on 24. If Bauer finds out, he'll have to kill Sutherland, since nobody plays Jack Bauer"
Posted by: Mark Byron at février 13, 2006 03:49 PMBauer's not bad, but my money's still on Chuck Norris (not G-rated either).

Posted by: Lenise at février 15, 2006 09:21 AMI'm still enjoying being way behind on TV series and watching them on DVD. I have now committed 72 hours of my life to Jack Bauer. My brother calls it television heroine. There is just no resolution at the end of each episode. YOU HAVE NO CHOICE. YOU MUST CONTINUE WATCHING. I find it really good company for a sick day. You're actually glad you're sick so you don't have to justify watching 6 hours of TV in one day. I'm still a hard core Alias fan because Sydney makes me connect with my girl power side, and the obvious romantic in me (I'm not as concerned with plot inconsistencies and, frankly, now I'm just impressed with myself when they travel to Russian and I can read all the signs and I don't need the subtitles for the bad guys), but 24, yeah, I just have to get stress reduction therapy at the end of every season...which in my world happens in about a week instead of a year because I have the privilege of the DVD like you.
Posted by: Little Miss at février 17, 2006 07:42 AM24 is the only TV WE watch. Jack's the man.
Posted by: barry at février 17, 2006 08:07 AMI have a strange reaction when I learn someone has only now discovered 24. Glad they enjoy it as much as our family does, but almost envious in a way that they get to watch the prior seasons for the first time. I know, it's twisted, isn't it? ;)
I read the Bauerisms a week or two ago, and had to laugh. Jack rocks, and if Chloe blogged, it would be a riot.

Posted by: Carla at février 20, 2006 08:20 PMLil' Miss. . . Have you registered with Netflix yet? Oh, my. How I *wishwishwish* my ukrfriends had access to netflix. Instead of passing around the same dvds again and again. Then again, that was fun, too. I liked trading Gilmore Girls discs with y'all. *Grin*
