Quick Tennyson Update

Our little buddy is now in a comfy private hospital and doing much better. He's finding the remote control TV and adjustable bed endlessly fascinating. He should be home on Sunday. :-)

Good News, Indeed! Sounds like Tennyson is getting well enough to drive the hopsital staff crazy! They will be glad when he goes home on Sunday.

Disco:

I had pneumonia many years back and the biggest lesson that I learned is this: make sure that recovery is complete. In my case, I got better, but not completely. But enough to think I was better. Then I got sick again. I did this a few times before I realized that I had to do what it took to be complete in my recovery.

Turns out the up-and-down nature of my recovery--which took me nearly an entire year--damaged my lungs. Allergy season is horrible, now. And I get bronchitis so easily now.

The doc told me to take it easy, even though I felt great. He told me to consume all of the medicine, even though there was nearly 1/2 left when I was feeling great. I didn't and it took it's toll.

It may not make sense, but keep treating it until it the doc says, even though you may be feeling just fine and well with no symptoms. Just my experience with that one.

excellent!

p.s. are all your children named for Victorian poets, or is this merely a pseudonym?

Thanks all!

Marty-

Thanks so much for the advice. I had walking pneumonia when I was a kid, but it was nothing so severe as this. I'll be careful to make sure everything is done thoroughly.

We took the whole Thomas Carlyle approach to things. . . ;-)

We have a Tennyson, a Reagan, and a Calvin. And my eldest is named for another great man -- John, my father.

Calvin--he's named after the comics pages guy, right?

Glad to hear the young fella's doing better. We had some close friends with two of their four girls come down with pneumonia. They're all healthy again now, but their mama was worried (she's a former PICU nurse).

Close -- John Calvin.

By the way, it's been ages since I read that comic. Do Calvin and Hobbe's approaches to life in any way resemble the actual historical figures?
