Kathryn, a long-lost pal from my teenage activist days, links to a must-read article from Elle magazine -- Confessions of a Very Good Girl. Kathryn and I came through the Evangelical subculture and into the Reformed world with our faith intact. The author rejected Christ altogether. There but for the grace of God. . . While it's a hit piece, the author's criticism has validity and Christians should pay attention.

thanks for the article from elle magazine. i appreciated her honesty and tho' she has left her christian roots in many ways, she seems to still have a tenderness toward Christ and many of the accompanying values that come with Him. it sounds like her rebellion is against so many of the external trappings of christianity ie.music, clothing, etc. that supposedly define what is in a person's heart.
that is such a huge tension when raising children isn't it and trying to pass on our true faith to them? martha
