A Public Service Announcement From Andy Warhol

warhol01.JPG

Michael Moore -- your 15 minutes are now officially up. You are well into the 70's-Elvis period of your fame. I recommend a similarly quick departure from public life in order to retain something of your dignity. In the interests of aesthetics, might I also suggest that you emulate his steady regimen of diet pills?

As an aside, do you all think Robert Smith from The Cure sees his future when he looks at pictures of Andy Warhol?

Unfortunately, I fear Moore will become a bloated, bearded version of Elizabeth Taylor, a celebrity you're certain did something once upon a time and simply won't go away . . .

Ha...Warhol looks confused/dead/hung over/empty/relieved/relaxed/weary/suffering mildly/listening to Nico. But do you think Robert Smith will become that haggard?

Bill-

That Liz Taylor ref is dead on. He is just so in love with his own legend at this point that it's almost inevitable he'll become pathetic soon. The irony of the Disney self-promotion 'controversy' is that it shows him up as essentially a part of what he purports to hate -- money-grubbing, dishonest Business.

John-

Awesome. :)
