Good news for time-conscious American parents! Have kids suffering from sin natures? Tired of having to exercise discernment and show grace when disciplining? Fret no longer -- Now you can let a self-aggrandizing, twice excommunicated plagiarizer do it for you! That's right, Gary Ezzo, of the modestly-named Growing Kids God's Way program, has put together a "discipline flow chart" that lets you parent with all the compassion and personal touch of a Fortune 500 CEO. Don't think about it. In fact, don't think at all, just order yours today!

The pic was too small to read clearly, but I'd wager that the 'rod of correction' is quite absent.

Posted by: Theognome at septembre 24, 2003 04:05 AMNever read a "Babywise" book or anything, but from the hearsay I've heard said, I would've figured the "rod of correction" would be very prominent on his chart. Isn't he sort of a "make them bend to your will" type guy?
Posted by: Jared at septembre 24, 2003 05:47 AMI thought the pharisees had already figured out the system for escaping our sin nature.
Posted by: David Rice at septembre 24, 2003 02:35 PMI can't read it clearly, but that must be one heck of a flowchart if it incorporates accountability according to knowledge and maturity, moments in which a demonstration of grace would be more effective than immediate correction, and other good stuff like that.
And if it doesn't incorporate that stuff, I might just as well go back to exercising godly wisdom on my own, bothersome and fallible as that is.
Posted by: pentamom at septembre 24, 2003 04:17 PMThe perhaps the small size is for portability reasons, it is just “Pocket Sized.” That is for quick reference when your kids are acting bad in Wal-Mart, you can just pull out the “handy-dandy-fast-on-your-feet discipline card.” Pull it out, follow the pretty arrows and leave discipline to someone who must know your child better than you do!!!
Go figure, ONE template that works for EVERY child? Gee no chance for this to be taken to an extreme.
Hey, I’ll bet you can laminate the big chart and hang it in a prominent spot in your home.
John. Check your email!. I have good news for you.

And I like how you summed it up, Pentamom. Also Ezzo.Info is a good resource.
