Le Sabot has been going through a transitional period. Many people have helped us, and I'd like to recognize a few of them. We moved to this location just last night, and my former site picked this very day to run out of bandwidth. Consequently, I have no way of telling people how to reach the new site. If you have a blog and would be willing to put in a blurb about the new URL, you'll find yourself on this list as well. If I've overlooked you, just post a withering comment on this thread.
Awarded the Order of the Green-Striped Clog:
1. Tim Berglund, of the self-named blog, for a prodigious amount of work and troubleshooting during the move.
2. Andrea, from Atypical Life, for all of her help with CSS, MT, PCUSA and other incomprehensible abbreviations.
3. John Rabe, from John Rabe for conspicuous gallantry in the face of Duelling Banjoists.
Honorary Saboteur status -- awarded to all those who are assisting in the new Blog URL Awareness Project:
1. Darren from The Living Room
2. Kelly from Badgermum
3. Paul from Every Blog Needs A Title
4. Simon from Big Simon
5. Barb from Whilin' Away the Hours
6. Jared from Thinklings
7. Tim from As I Said
8. Michael from Law on Blog
9. Carol from Carol's Storybook
10. The nice peeps at Kingdom Come
11. Inkling over at InkLING (He is a singular fellow, indeed...)
12. Modest Mouse at Blog Rogov
John, I just blogged on your move.
I was happy to do so. You are my #2 favorite blog, after all. ;-)
I haven't been stuffy about this (and some fine people have made the same mistake) but, the name of my blog is "Whilin' Away The Hours." A minor detail...
Posted by: Barb at août 7, 2003 08:48 AMGlad to see you are ready to roll! Looking forward to reading and learning.
Any guest entries in the works, Duchess? I would love to hear about those boys!
I will cherish this award always. :)
Posted by: Andrea at août 7, 2003 04:09 PMBarb, I thought it was called "Scarecrow's Heaves." My bad.

Posted by: Tim Berglund at août 7, 2003 11:21 PMOh, and the migration 'twas nothing.
Well, actually, it was quite a bit more challenging and took longer than anyone expected, but I warned John about time estimates from software guys before we got started. Plus, things were resolved in such a way as to provide for a more stable and scalable blog going forward, and I learned a bit about how MT and MySQL interact, which was on my list anyway.
Expatriates always receive a very high level of service. Everyone should consider this his job as the opportunity presents itself.
Barb, if John needs new teeth, you hook him up.

Thanks so much for the assist. I'm enjoying reading your blog, btw... Very international!
Sorry I haven't responded to your email yet. I'll be doing catch-up in email in about 5 days, once our summer institute is over and the short-term team goes back to the States. It's nice getting to know you. :)
